This is hardly a recipe, but it’s so good and EASY that I had to share! I came across a post about banana soft serve on Peanut Butter Fingers. It was during my 21-day Standard Process Cleanse when I could only eat fruits, vegetables and brown rice so I just had to try it. I certainly didn’t think it would become one of our favorite treats! Jon loves it as much as I do if not more, and he is picky! He also has the metabolism of a 12-year-old (lucky!) so he’s never concerned with calorie intake. This should prove how delicious this treat actually is!
You can make this many different ways. The original recipe is just frozen bananas with a teaspoon of vanilla extract, if you want to add that. Now that I’m not on the cleanse we added in a few chocolate chips to make it even tastier.
It takes just a minute to make and the frozen bananas have an identical texture to ice cream. This is such a fantastic, healthy dessert. Just be sure to eat it right away or else it gets mushy. The texture is just like ice cream as soon as the frozen bananas have been blended up.
Enjoy!
Chocolate Chip Banana Soft Serve (serves 2)
Ingredients
-
4 bananas, peeled, chopped and frozen at least a few hours prior to making the soft serve
-
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-
A few chocolate chips
Directions
-
Put frozen banana pieces in a food processor and blend until creamy. (you may need to use a spoon to scrape the sides of the food processor, when the blade is off!, because the banana tends to get stuck on the sides.

Add your teaspoon of vanilla and chocolate chips and mix until blended evenly
-
Serve immediately!
